Emily Nisco-Frank, MA, LMFT

As an individual, couple and family therapist, I am passionate about providing support as you create a secure growing environment within yourself and your most cherished relationships.
I believe we are constantly learning about ourselves and about life through relationships and experiences. Conflict is an inevitable part of life and relationships and an invitation to grow. In therapy we can build the skills to communicate with love and care even amid our challenges and struggles. I seek to help my clients access their inner wisdom and cultivate the tools to navigate safely through life’s challenges. Together we can identify and release potentially harmful patterns, and create new beliefs, habits and actions that allow for new energy for healing and growth.
During our time together, I will offer you empathy, connection and support on your journey to find your wisest self. When we live a life that is in tune with our wisest self, we can strengthen our relationships with others and with ourselves. My background and training are in spirituality and mindfulness, grief and loss, and relational and family therapy. I work with people of all ages experiencing anxiety, depression, and a wide range of challenges. With tender attention I believe we can access your inner path to greater harmony, joy and vitality in your life.

Life’s challenges can alter our perception of ourselves, others, and the world we live in. We can lose sight of our strengths and abilities, and we often put others needs before our own. In doing so, we are disconnecting from painful emotions and cheating ourselves from being present in our everyday lives. Through therapy, we can learn to reconnect to the parts of ourselves we have neglected. I aim to provide a warm and non-judgmental space that allows for growth as well as relief from the burdens you are carrying each day.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in trauma-focused therapy. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults providing individual, group, and family therapy. I am a fully EMDRIA accredited trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.

I look forward to having the privilege to walk alongside you in your journey of growth and recovery.

Welcome to my page for individual and group psychotherapy!

I’m sure your life can be difficult to navigate and there’s no user manual to explain it all to you. Add your specific problems and it can be debilitating, and yet, there is hope and there is help for you! Let’s get to the bottom of why you suffer, although you keep trying to heal. If we can get to the core problems and heal them, you won’t need a huge toolbox and skills to manage daily life. You’ll just be living in your life!

You will gain increasing confidence and connectivity. We will build your capacity to feel your difficult emotions that are meant to guide you through life. If you would like to free yourself, and get to know yourself better, then this therapy is for you. It’s all about the “self,” yourself.

My style is integrative, including spirituality, and also Christianity. I use Yoga philosophy and Ayurveda incorporated into our framework, especially if you have somatic problems and pain. Although I use psychodynamic theory, I am trained in ACT/CBT/ERP/Gestalt/Mindfulness and 12 step recovery for Addictions, OCD, Trauma, and Psychophysiologic problems.

ISTDP(Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy) is upon request, as it is a very specialized type of service. (Think psychoanalytic and unconscious work). Block/intensive sessions available for quicker results.

Please visit my website and email me through my contact page. The “Start Therapy” page has the forms to get you started. You can also contact me at the following, take care!
